Well, it is Friday night and guess what I am doing? Having a photo shoot with shoes in my apartment while jamming to some tunes. My cat keeps giving me the evil eye as I shake my tooshie to the beats of Rihanna. I also did some cooking and cleaning and general domestic duties. My how my Friday nights have changed over the past 5 years!

Consequences

Well, I am another year older and wiser since my last post. Yep, my birthday was this past weekend! Of course I had to throw a party, so I went with the pool party option. We had a good turn out and I learned a thing or two. Mainly the following: I would like to think I am still 21 but my body disagrees with me. Case in point: After the pool party, I went to dinner with plans to conquer Henderson and uptown in my sparkly heels. Not the case. I fell asleep at my friend's after dinner. Can someone say "winning"?

Livin' Large

Well I must say August has been a busy month! I officially have a new full time job at Spice in Snider Plaza. (come visit me!) I started yesterday and it was a good first day. This weekend was filled with friends, parties, and an unexpected visit to Capital Grille. We had the best waiter, Steven, and got complimentary champagne! I know, living large. Sunday I was domestic and cleaned, cooked, and even did some laundry! I'm starting to enjoy my Sunday cleaning days. Hope everyone has a lovely day!

Shorts and Sandals

As I write I am watching the Cowboys pre season game, yes the ever present Cowboys. I just love football season. I haven't mentioned that before have I? I love the competition, the hot guys it tends to involve, and the memories it brings back. Football has been around ever since I can remember. As an infant, my dad would prop me up on his knee and say "these are the Cowboys, and you will love them." So I was born a Cowboy fan. Thank God I wasn't born a Steeler fan. Whew! ;)

Sports Nut

I've officially turned into a crazy cat lady. I talk to my cat, I watch her play, and I treat her like a person basically. When did this happen? I used to be a normal single gal then I got a cat and turned bonkers.

Today, I plan to just enjoy my Sunday and be as lazy as possible. I can't wait until football is added to this mix. I have no idea how the Cowboys or Dawgs are positioned to play but I just go in each season blindly hoping they both do well. If there is ever a year when the stars align and both do well, I will be one happy lady.

So I am procrastinating cleaning right now. It's the worst! Honestly, does anyone really like to clean? I hear of these people and think I know a few of them, but I am not a neat freak to say the least. Mind you, I am not a total slob either.

All I can think about is my trp to NYC in October! I can't wait to see my friends there, visit Soho, party until 4 am, and experience whatever comes my way while I am up there. Last time I was in the concrete jungle, the Met was putting on an exhibit of Alexander McQueen. I almost died the clothes were so gorgeous!

Well, I survived Arkansas, which is quite a feat. Megan and I made more epic memories and all of her friends were so sweet! Saturday night some friends and I went to Cowboys Red River. For anyone who has not been to Dallas, you must go here if you want to see stereotypical Texans. Everyone wears their cowboy boots, denim shorts with rhinestone accents, fitted tees, and cowboy hats. And I love it! Cowboys is a dance hall so everyone is dancing, drinking, and having a good time. Oh, and there IS a mechanical bull and yes, I have ridden it.

I bought this dress Saturday at a clearance sale for designer clothes. Score! I also got the Sam Edelman's for 50% off. I love saving money :) Hope everyone has a lovely week!
