Merry Christmas!

I know I don't blog as much as some of you ladies (I don't see how you do it!) but here I am, blogging. I am thankful for everyone who has supported this blog adventure of mine. It seems like I started it yesterday, but it's been 6 months! I'm excited to see the trends of 2013... do you think neon will stick? I sure hope so.  My mother quickly told me she disapproved of the following look, so that makes me want to put it up more :)

Merry Christmas!! xo

Deck the Halls

Ah, the weekend. Time to relax, party, relax from partying... at least that's how my cycle goes. Tomorrow, some friends and I are going to look at Christmas lights. A little early, but hey, we'll beat the crowds right? Speaking of the holidays, I decided to reveal my Christmas party dress! I love the emerald green and the cutout in the back. I'm a fan on A-line patterns because they flatter curves and show off the skinniest part of the waist. And of course, I had to add the pearls to be a true Southern lady.

Enjoy your weekend lovelies! xo

5 Life Tips

Now, I am by no means a psychologist, life expert, or experienced personnel of any sorts. However, I read an article that inspired me to share with you life lessons according to Allison. So, here we go!

1) Give control over to God
I'm not here to convert you to Christianity, but I do think this one takes a load off of my mind. When your a constant worrier like myself, it helps to just read a Psalm (Psalm 32:8 for example), say a prayer, or take a moment to give control over to God. Besides, most of it doesn't matter anyway.

2) Stop comparing yourself to others!
I know, I know she has the great boyfriend or killer abs or great fashion sense, blah blah blah. But you need to stop comparing yourself to her! You have alot to offer and are an awesome person too. Nothing is ever what it seems from the outside and I guarantee you that girl is going through some issues just like you. Anyways, she is probably comparing herself to you too!

3) Work Out
Now, I am no fitness guru but I love to work out. Not saying you have to work out everyday for 2 hours (who has time for that?) but it's healthy, boost your mood, and de-stresses you.   I also reccomend making the perfect playlist for your workouts. I mean really, who doesn't feel good after a great workout?

4) Spend time alone
I heard a great quote once about how it's good to spend time alone so you aren't defined by another. Even if it's just 30 minutes, take some time out of the week to do something you enjoy, ALONE. Watch the Real Housewives, pin til your heart is content, go for a walk, whatever.

5) Love
Not to sound sappy but make sure to tell those close to you that you love them. It will boost both of your moods and what have you got to lose? Tell a friend you appreciate how they listened to you, a family member how they drive you crazy but you will always love them, or just tell your cat they look extra fluffy today.

Hope you are enjoying your Sunday!! xo

What I've Been Up To

Good day everyone! How was Thanksgiving for y'all? I had a wonderful time visiting with my fam, cooking, and relaxing. I am truly thankful for all I have been blessed with, especially my readers!

The weather has been in the 70's and I've been cooking alot of yummy dishes with friends as of late. I must say, life is treating me well. Of course, I have daily struggles but overall I am extremely grateful. Here are some photos of what I have been up to lately.

Get out there and rock your week! xo

Printed Pants

Who else is excited about Thanksgiving? I love to eat and I love to cook so it is a holiday made for me. This year we are going to the Cowboys game with my dad, as is our new family tradition, and cooking with my mother.

Of course, my favorite item is the pants. Skinny jean AND leopard print? Yes, please! I found these at Zara in Soho. To get my color fix, I put the pink top in. Loving the printed pant trend.

Have a great day dearies! xo

Cheers to the Weekend!

I am learning it is essential in life to capture the moments because they are gone in an instant. Those are my words of advice. I just spent the night with a dear friend discussing life over wine and music. I love those conversations with close friends where you can just be real and be yourself. Look for a blog coming soon featuring Firmoo.com!!

The blazer is another gem scored in NYC and is from MNG. I decided to pair it with a pop of color to add some fun to the outfit but kept the jeans to make it laid back. The shoes are a fun pair I scored in Barcelona at a store near Las Ramblas.

Wishing everyone a lovely evening! xo

San Antonio Shenanigans

This weekend, my dear Rebecca and I went down to San Antonio to visit Kristen, who has just moved there. Upon Rebecca and my return to Dallas, we got a little low on gas. We started out with half a tank which we assumed would get us to Austin. It did, however we got on this tollway with NO civilization on it. As my gas meter sank down to E, Rebecca and I both kept our cool as to not freak out the other passenger. But I know I was freaking out a bit inside. With the help of the trusty iPhone, we found a gas station in Pfulgerville (yes that is a city in Texas).

This sweater was one of my gems found in NYC from a small Soho boutique which I cannot recall the name of. Usually, I associate owls with my sister but hey, I can own owl stuff too! Shout out to my lovely mother for her help with the pictures in the lovely parks of Highland Park.

Make sure to vote! xo

Pinnings Galore!

So I have neglecting my blog lately and have decided to do something about it. This weekend was wonderful as I traveled to Houston to see Tracy and Kirk De Boer get married! It felt like "Father of the Bride" because they had a tent in their backyard and everything looked perfect.

The following are some of my favorite images from Pinterest. Whoever invented Pinterest, I say on behalf of all women, I love you. <3

Diamonds

Ah, another Saturday of crazy college football. I love it. I thought I'd share with everyone some of my outfits from this week.  Everything was bought in NYC except for The Limited dress.

My two favorite looks are the cobalt tights and the leopard print navy pants. I love the trends for bright tights and patterned pants, so I hopped on the bandwagon. What's your favorite trend for fall?

Have a surperb day/evening/night! xo

I need help! My pictures are not all the same size, which drives an OCD person like me crazy. How do I make them all one size? I like the extra large selection but not all of the pictures can be made extra large. I used to be able to make all of the pictures extra large but now I can't. Help!

Autumn Neutrals

Well my trip to NYC was a success! There was girl time, shopping, and late night shenanigans. I bought so many new clothes and I can't wait to show them off. Among the items bought: colorful tights, an owl sweatshirt, a blazer, and a peplum shirt.

I thought I'd pull out these pants again as they are a staple in my closet. They add color and fun to the traditional skinny jean. I kept the colors "autumn neutral"  to celebrate the new time of year. Expect some bright colors in the near future for my wardrobe :)

Happy Hump Day! xo

Polka Dots

First off, I woud like to thank everyone for the sweet comments and following me! It's only been a few months but my blog has gone through alot of changes. Thanks again for reading :)

This dress is from Francesca's and has served me very well. I'm a fan of all things patterned. I think it just livens up the outfit. The earrings were a gift from my boss at Spicy II. You should come by and visit. Ya know, if you're in the area. The shoes are one of my favorite pairs of all time. They were a Christmas gift from my dear sis. They are both sentimental and fashionable. What else can a girl ask for in a pair of 6 inch stilettos?

Much love! xo

Purple Pants

Well, it is about time for another post. Today is an exciting day for me because my alma mater, the Georgia Bulldogs, are playing one of their biggest rivals in a game that will determine our future in regards to the bowl games or dare I say, the national championship? Yes, I'm obsessed with football and fashion. I think it balances me.

On to fashion! I love these pants because they are my favorite color. I was so excited when the colored pants trend became popular because it gives you a chance to brighten up your bottom half. I kept the top in a neutral color for this outfit so I wouldn't overpower the pants. What do you think about the colored pants trend for this year?

Happy Saturday!!xo

October!

I hate to sound like such a girl but... September really flew by! It is finally the right temperatrure to pull out some of my fall favorites. Boots, colored skinny jeans, sweaters, I love it all. I'm going to NYC in two weeks and need to store up my money so I can do some hard core shopping in Soho. My obsession with the city grows each year.

This was my first pair of colored jeans. I was a little nervous to buy skinny jeans but had to get these! What helped me overcome my fear is to pair the jeans with a flowy or oversized top to cover any areas I don't want exposed. I picked up this top from the LOFT and love the print. When I see animal, I must have it.

Lastly, I have to say, GO COWBOYS!! xo

26

Hello my dears!  I am still working out a few kinks in my blog but I am happy everyone is reading and enjoying it.

This outfit is what I typically would wear to work. I love the jeans because they fit my derriere well, which is a must for all jeans I own. Jeans are very difficult to find, as we all know, and I need to get some new light ones. I'm obsessed with True Religion but my wallet isn't a fan. The shirt I got from my mother and the neckalce is from a boutique in Barcelona.

I wish everyone an energetic, ass-kicking Monday!! xo
